Mommy’s little helper

While Charlie and I had fun picking through clearance items at Target, around the world other girls are not leading nearly such charmed lives. That’s why it’s important for events like today, the International Day of the Girl Child. If you haven’t yet, please take the time to watch Jon Stewart’s interview with Malala Yousafzai. HuffPo has a great article by a woman who was sold as a child to her adopted mother on the street. You can also learn more about the day here. p.s. I know I’m breaking the “single photo” spirit of SouleMama’s {this moment}, but I felt this shirt deserved its own picture. A little known fact is that in addition to the power of three wolves howling at the moon, there is also much power to be gained from two deer staring at you.

p.p.s. We’re getting ready for a leaf-peeping trip this weekend. Friday is a day that I don’t shuttle Charlotte to a class, so it’s nice just to sit and drink some tea with her.
